FRC Action PAC Announces Endorsement of Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin for Re-Election
Washington, D.C. - FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Governor Matt Bevin for re-election in Kentucky.
In the letter of endorsement written to Governor Matt Bevin, FRC Action President Tony Perkins commented:
"On behalf of FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, I am pleased to announce our endorsement of your candidacy for re-election to Governor of Kentucky.
"Since taking office almost four years ago, you have implemented notable conservative reforms across Kentucky. From lowering taxes, to improving health care and shrinking the size of government, your policies have improved the lives of Kentucky families and have provided more opportunities for their success. You have proven that you understand the central role strong families must play if our nation is to thrive and you have consistently taken stands in support of their fundamental freedoms.
"You have demonstrated a firm commitment to protecting life, family values, and religious freedom. While many political leaders simply give these issues lip service to get votes during election season, you have backed up your words with decisive action. During your term as Governor you have signed legislation banning abortions after 5 months, the point at which science tells us an unborn child can feel pain. Later, you also signed a bill protecting the unborn once a fetal heartbeat is detected.
"FRC Action PAC is confident that you will continue to be a dedicated advocate for limited government, for individual liberties, and for strong family values. Kentucky needs your leadership to continue moving in the right direction, and we are pleased to offer our endorsement of your candidacy for re-election."
